KNOW YOURSELF

FB_IMG_1519143679602.jpg

Knowledge of Self – Black youth need to know that out history didn’t start when we were herded off of slave-ships like cattle, our history is traced back to Africa where we were Kings, Queens, and warriors. I remember Richard Pryor did a skit on his short lived TV show about a group of Archaeologist that discovered a great cache of Egyptian artifacts, and Pryor played their servant….while they were examining things remarked “Wow all these drawings are of Black people”….when he said that they closed his Black behind in the tomb with the TRUTH.

Black People MUST Love Themselves

As long as Black men continue this cycle of having multiple babies out of wedlock and as long as Black women ALLOW trifling brothers to impregnate them, we will continue down the path of ignorance and poverty. It is hard enough WITH an education for us to keep pace in America, oh don’t be stupid racism is as bad today as it was in 1959 when I was born, the difference is we as a people are LESS aware and educated to deal with it. Martin Luther King was successful for two reasons 1. He was EDUCATED 2. He was lead by God…..2 things WE (Black folks) have abandoned GOD and BOOKS!!!! Wake up and pray for wisdom and read books OUR history, science, and finances……we will continue to struggle until we have a paradigm shift. (That is a changed MIND)

We MUST love OURSELVES…..The Bible even tells us that we CANNOT truly love our neighbors UNLESS we love OURSELVES. And the self-hatred of our race MUST STOP. Have you ever noticed when a black person talks about loving their race or loving their people, white people get uncomfortable and often call US racist for being Pro-Black, Why is that? I’ll tell you why, when we were brought here as slaves, they changed our names, erased our past history and accomplishments, stole our family structure, introduced us to disease, beat us, raped us, and murdered those who resisted. So anytime a Black person even TODAY shows any kind of tenacity to improve, to learn, to advance, or to have an opinion about religion, history, or life in general they STILL try and censor or control it. Educated Black people terrify racist, because knowledge IS power. (With all thy getting get an understanding). They would beat a slave if they caught them reading a book, TODAY you have have to we voluntary refuse to read. WAKE UP PEOPLE!

The growing trend today is when Black people speak out against racist acts of violence perpetrated upon us, the FOX News brigade and the Tea Party folks, retaliate by calling US “racist” because say we say “Black Lives Matter”. Well let’s wake up America BLACK lives never mattered. Let’s look at American History.

When we were brought here we were not even considered human.  Slave owners also had the right to punish their slaves – and any slave who broke the rules was severely punished. According to regulations from September 5, 1733 by Governor Philip Gardelin, slaves who committed grand larceny or who encouraged others to escape, for example, were to be pinched three times with red-hot iron tongs and then hanged. If you tried to run away, you were to have your leg amputated or – if your master forgave you – get 150 lashes and lose one ear.

Slaves had no constitutional rights; they could not testify in court against a white person; they could not leave the plantation without permission. Slaves often found themselves rented out, used as prizes in lotteries, or as wagers in card games and horse races.

Even after slavery ended Black lives were still in danger and not worth much, often Black men would be arrested for little or nothing and forced into chain gangs and women forced into domestic jobs that paid very little and rape was a standard that came with working as the “HELP”.. The KKK would often burn down the few farms owned and run by Black families, men would be lynched and women often raped. Segregation and Jim Crow laws kept us from voting and being allowed to go to colleges. I saw my first Cross Burning at the age of 7 in a place called Crewe Virginia as my father and mother drove with the headlights out at night for fear that we would have been seen.

Even in the military Black soldiers like my uncles were separate and NOT equal, after fighting in WWII and serving with honor they STILL had to ride the back of the bus in their dress uniform when they came home to Virginia. I was stationed in Mississippi in 1977 and remember being given a list of places we (Black Airmen) were NOT welcome. I was ran out of a bar in Biloxi because I wanted a beer (I was in uniform), so am I surprised that Black men are being killed TODAY for little or NO criminal activities or reasons….Nah, because Black lives didn’t matter then and they still don’t.

Are YOU a “Trump Christian” ?

A self-declared follower of the Christian faith and its principles of unconditional love, helping the less fortunate and renunciation of violence and worldly goods, who also rabidly supports President-elect Donald Trump, an unabashed narcissist, racist, misogynist, xenophobe and pussy grabbing real estate con-man of shiny, gaudy buildings.

Billy Bob: I can’t wait until Trump kicks all them Mexican and refugee families out of our country. It’d be great if he waterboarded them on the way out.
Trump Christian: Amen on that brother.

Why EVERY Black American SHOULD Vote!

This 2016 Presidential Election has probably been the most polarizing and disappointing one in my lifetime. I am not thrilled with either candidate, and to say “Choose the lesser of two evils” just doesn’t make it any easier. As a Black American that was born during the 50’s when Racist activity was at some of our histories worst atrocities against Black people. To be honest and fair over the years things got somewhat better because of good men and women BOTH black and white, like Martin Luther King, JFK, Malcom X, and the hundreds and thousands of people that were willing to die and suffer for the right to VOTE.

Because of the RIGHT and ABILITY to vote many of these wrongs have been RIGHTED, so when I hear a Black person say “I don’t vote” you are literally spitting in the faces of everyone that fought and died so YOU could have a voice in this country….GO VOTE!

The REAL Problem in Da Hood!

Until Black men rise up and become responsible fathers the issues that haunt the Inner-City will never change. Our salvation isn’t found in EITHER political party, but it is found in Jesus Christ and following His will and teachings. If Black MEN would PRAY and lead their families in PRAYER and WORSHIP, things will change for the better. Until Black women STOP giving their bodies to lazy Negroes that have a string of “Baby Mommas” and wearing their pants on the crack of their butts….THINGS WON’T GET BETTER!

Yeah I Said It!

A Message to The Black Woman

I saw a young lady last week that that I hadn’t seen in well over a year, the last time I saw her she just had a baby and sadly the father was absent. Since I saw her last she has had another baby and again the father is absent. She is working two jobs to care for the babies for that I admire her, but I was heartbroken to see 2 more black children born without the guidance and direction of a father. Listen to me sisters, God created you to be a Queen for a King that will love you and HELP raise the children you bring into this earth. STOP THE MADNESS!!!  We must end this cycle of unwed births, it is destroying our people. 73 % of the children in the inner-city are born out of wedlock, and one out of four of them will end up in jail. You hold the key to ending this! Don’t give yourself sexually to a man you KNOW is not HUSBAND or FATHER material.

Why The Black Church is a Part of The Problems in The Hood

Gang violence, drug addiction, and poverty are some of the issues haunting the inner-cities of America. Everyone has an opinion as to how and why it got so bad. There are a host of reasons. Industries going overseas is a big reason for the poverty, Cities like Trenton and Camden used to have industries and companies that packed up and moved overseas where cheap labor and less taxes are, The “war on drugs” was really not a war at all because law enforcement ONLY focused on street corner dealers and NOT the banks, politicians, and white collar criminals bringing the drugs in the inner-cities.

I want to speak to a problem and an issue that gets ignored and overlooked….The Inner-City CHURCH! Yes the CHURCH. When I was a child i can remember the church for the most part stood for righteousness and performed acts of kindness and mercy. The church preached The Good News of Jesus Christ and called sin what it was….SIN. But in the late 60’s and early seventies the church took a dangerous turn. The church began to look at it’s members the way a wolf looks at sheep. The Good News of Jesus became the “Prosperity Gospel” which stopped feeding the flock of God and fleecing it. Often people on fixed incomes and low salaries believed the HYPE and started sowing “seeds” into these crooks wallets.

The family structures suffered because values like MARRIAGE, RESPONSIBILITY, and HARD WORK were replaced with a “name it and claim it” message. Even main stream denominations fell prey to this hellish message that came over the radio and TV waves every day and night. Because most poor and black people didn’t really know the Bible in it’s proper context the charlatans took advantage of their ignorance. So NOW we have women with 2 and 3 babies and no husband and men not being responsible for the babies in question. Until the church goes back to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Gospel of Righteousness we will continue to spiral DOWN.
